Develops and implements communication strategies of the organization with a primary focus on social media.

Education
Organizes, develops and evaluates surgical skills labs, educational resources and related educational programs

Grants
Evaluates award research grants and awards as funding permits, oversees awarded grants and evaluates survey requests

International Relations
Conducts outreach to international partners, recruits members internationally, hosts international programs and fosters collaboration

Membership
Reviews member applications and oversees membership outreach, working with the administrative office to meet goals and objectives

Patient Advocacy
Recommends, develops and implements patient advocacy strategies for the organization, and serves as the organization's liaison to community patient advocacy groups concerned with hernia disease.

Practice Advisory (Guidelines)
Draft advisories and collaborate on guidelines on hernia related topics consistent with the mission of AHS

Residents and Fellows
Implements a pathway for new surgeons with an interest in abdominal wall disorders to make a contribution to the organization including annual meeting opportunities, and promoting trainee participation in the organization
