Accreditation

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this live virtual activity, participants should be able to do the following:

  1. Discuss current controversies and late-breaking scientific advances in the field of hernia surgery.
  2. Identify the optimal approach for inguinal, flank, hiatal, and abdominal hernia patients and recognize potential complications for each.
  3. Determine appropriate reimbursement strategies for common hernia procedures.

Accreditation Statement

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and American Hernia Society (AHS). The American Society of Plastic Surgeons is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Designation Statement

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons designates this other activity (live virtual meeting and on demand recordings) for a maximum of 21.75 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Of the 21.75 credits, 6.25 credits have been identified as applicable to patient safety.
