Meetings & Education
The goal of the AHS is to provide quality education to surgeons who have an interest in hernia surgery and abdominal wall abnormalities. Each year the AHS hosts a Hernia Repair Conference highlighting new techniques, updates in hernia repair, diagnosis of abdominal diseases, implications of hernia surgery, patient management and other very important topics related to general surgery and hernia repair.
The 2022 American Hernia Society Annual Meeting will be held September 14-16, 2022, in Charlotte, NC. This three-day program will provide a professional forum for the exchange of information and education on the latest trends in hernia surgery and the treatment of abdominal wall abnormalities.
Surgical Skills Lab
Join us for the AHS Surgical Skills Lab on September 17, immediately following the AHS Annual Meeting. The live program will be hosted at a local Charlotte facility minutes from the Westin Charlotte, the host hotel of the AHS Annual Meeting.
Twitter Journal Club
The AHS Education Committee will be leading a monthly series of Twitter-based journal clubs in 2022. Our Twitter-based journal clubs will allow for easy participation using the dedicated #AHSJC hashtag, allowing anyone to follow along and contribute to the conversation.
We are delighted to announce the launch of the AHS Webinars Series! This series of 13 free webinars is designed to keep you up to date with the latest innovations and cutting-edge technologies in hernia surgery. The webinars provide convenient training with no downtime for travel.
